Blog 2013-03-25 Commodities At 06:00 SAST today, Brent crude oil rose 0.6% to trade at $107.95/bl, amid easing concerns about the eurozone debt crisis, after Cyprus and international lenders agreed on an aid package. On Friday, Brent crude oil rose 0.2% to settle at $107.31/bl. On Friday, corn spot prices fell 0.9% to $7.49/bushel, amid profit taking by traders. At 06:00 SAST today, gold prices advanced 0.1% to trade at $1,610.95/oz. On Friday, gold declined 0.4% to close at $1,608.58/oz. On Friday, copper rose 1.0% to close at $7,621.75/mt, while aluminium closed 1.1% higher at $1,914.50/mt, as signs of improvement in the US economy bolstered the demand outlook for metals.
