At 06:00 SAST today, Brent crude oil rose 0.3% to trade at $113.07/bl. Yesterday, Brent crude oil fell 1.0% to settle at $112.72/bl, on easing fears of Iranian nuclear impasse, after the nation pledged to hold further discussions starting next month following the end of a two-day meeting with the US and its partners. Moreover, the US Energy department reported that crude oil supplies increased 1.13mn bls to 377.50mn bls last week.

Yesterday, corn spot prices rose 0.4% to $7.15/bushel.

At 06:00 SAST today, gold prices advanced 0.1% to trade at $1,598.20/oz. Yesterday, gold declined 1.0% to close at $1,597.40/oz, after the US Federal Reserve Chairman, Ben Bernanke, in his testimony before both houses of the US Congress, reassured investors of the central bank’s commitment to its bond buying programme.

Yesterday, copper rose 0.1% to close at $7,841.00/mt. Aluminium closed 0.1% lower at $1,975.50/mt.
