At 06:00 SAST today, Brent crude oil fell 0.2% to trade at $119.03/bl. Meanwhile, crude oil shipments from Saudi Arabia fell to a 15 month low in December. On Friday, Brent crude oil fell marginally to settle at $119.24/bl. Gain in crude oil prices were capped after data showed that US industrial production unexpectedly dropped in January and amid concerns about economic conditions in the eurozone.

On Friday, corn spot prices rose 0.6% to close at $7.10/bushel.

At 06:00 SAST today, gold prices advanced 0.3% to trade at $1,615.20/oz. On Friday, gold declined 1.5% to close at $1,610.10/oz, as the US dollar strengthened against most of its major counterparts.

On Friday, copper fell 0.4% to close at $8,172.00/mt while aluminium closed 0.6% higher at $2,127.25/mt.
